TAFTA
Description
Taffeta is a light to medium-weight fabric with a smooth surface and a subtle, crisp sheen, which creates a fine rustle and holds its shape very well. It has a more controlled drape (it doesn't flow like satin), making it excellent for volume, pleats, flared skirts, bows, structured drapery, and pieces that need to look "arranged" without much interfacing.
It is very suitable for occasion dresses, voluminous skirts, bodices, short jackets, decorative details, as well as for accessories (bows, belts) or decor (tablecloths, drapery). The lustrous finish gives it an elegant look, and the texture remains clean and well-defined in simple cuts.
